Poetry: Prison Break

PRISON BREAK

A prisoner I am
Captured by my own mind
Bondaged by my own thoughts
Tortured by the actions of my own decisions

Freedom I seek
To be free from guilt bonding me
Free from curses I find myself
To be acquited from my sinful acts

Mistakes I made keeps haunting my thoughts
I feel enchanted by the spells of darkness
Fear and terror continuously sprouts up in me
These dreadful memories I wish to discard

Just as drought and heat takes away melted snow
Oh Cupid angel please erase my sins and guide my paths

Obedience in me is now rarely valued as a virtue
Disobedient and rebellion becomes a norm
when shall I break free from my prison of badness
That day my voice shall be heard far beyond the sea
As a society breaking free from it's prison of crime
Only then will I say a rhyme
A rhyme to seal my name in history as a country free from crime

But wait, who are we really? We're humans just like you Wedded to our career we say 'i do' though our chances are few And we're sta...
